Pallet racking is an efficient, flexible storage solution ideal for warehouses
managing bulk multi-SKU inventory. Its modular layout creates clear aisles,
enabling forklift and equipment access to ensure fast retrieval and turnover of
palletized goods.
RICHES pallet racking features an upright frame crafted via dual bolting and
welding. Its exclusive safety locking mechanism boosts overall rack rigidity,
while preventing accidental crossbar detachment, cargo damage during handling,
and unauthorized tampering-delivering multi-layered warehouse security.
Constructed from high-strength steel meeting international industrial standards, RICHES racking uses critical welds completed by AWS-certified technicians or fully automated robotic welding for structural stability. A double-layer paint and powder coating ensures strong rust and corrosion resistance, preserving its appearance and performance even in harsh high-humidity, dusty industrial environments.
RICHES Express Service: We provide dedicated express delivery for high-demand standard racking components, paired with cost-effective logistics solutions. This enables efficient global warehouse delivery, significantly cutting project preparation time.

Everything You Need to Know
Cooperate with Riches to improve your warehousing efficiency - warehouse pallet racking solutions!!
What are the core advantages of pallet racking?
Pallet racking is a popular pallet storage system in warehouses. Its core advantages lie in its flexible functionality, simple structure, easy assembly, and manageable costs. More importantly, it allows direct access to each pallet without moving other items, significantly improving inventory turnover efficiency. It is particularly suitable for businesses with a large number of SKUs and limited inventory of each, easily meeting the needs of categorized storage of multiple product categories.
Can pallet racking be flexibly adjusted in size?
Yes. Pallet racking is fully customizable to meet warehouse needs. Conventional manually operated racks range in height from 4 to 40 feet, while automated systems accommodate rack heights up to 148 feet. There are no fixed length restrictions and pallet racks can be extended infinitely by connecting compartments. The frame depth is designed based on the size of the pallet. For example, to accommodate a standard 48-inch-deep GMA pallet, the frame depth is typically set at 42 inches. Adequate aisle space must be reserved, and aisle compartments can be added to shorten traffic paths for safety and efficiency.
Can pallet racking be equipped with additional shelves?
In its standard configuration, pallet racking requires no shelves; pallets are placed directly on the crossbars. However, metal or particleboard shelves can be added to the crossbars as needed. This modification allows it to accommodate non-palletized goods (such as boxes and loose parts). It also enables "direct picking from shelves," allowing the racking to fulfill both storage and picking functions, expanding its use cases.
Does pallet racking support order picking?
Yes, and there are various picking methods available. The most common method is direct picking from the bottom pallet, suitable for high-frequency picking. Alternatively, the top two or three shelves can be designated as picking areas, as long as the height is suitable (e.g., with the aid of picking equipment) for easy access by operators. Alternatively, picking shelves can be added to the lower shelves to store loose goods, while upper shelves can be used to store spare pallets, achieving a balanced balance between storage and picking efficiency.
How can pallet racking be automated?
For pallet racks 40 feet or less in height, warehouses using VNA (narrow aisle) forklifts (VNAs) can achieve fully automated storage and retrieval operations without modifying the rack structure. Simply install an automated three-sided stacker crane (with a three-sided extraction system). For fully automated pallet storage systems, our dedicated team can provide comprehensive support, from automated warehouse design to implementation, to meet your needs for greater efficiency.
Which forklift is suitable for use with pallet racks?
As long as the aisle widths match and the forklift's lift height can reach the target cargo level, any type of forklift can be used, including counterbalanced forklifts, reach trucks, and VNAs. Please note: Double-deep pallet racks require a forklift with telescopic forks to reach the inner pallets. When using VNAs with elevated narrow aisle racks, a guide system (mechanical guides using floor profiles or wire guides using embedded magnetic wires) is required to ensure precise aisle navigation.
